Seasonal French cooking
The menu changes. The welcome does not.
A short card rewritten with the market, bread from the bakery two doors down, and tables you are never hurried off. Lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Saturday.

The house
We opened with one conviction: a bistro should feed its street before it feeds its reputation. So the card stays short, the produce comes from growers we can call by name, and the prices let you come back on an ordinary Tuesday, not just for occasions.
The kitchen is half-open, you will hear the pans, and that is on purpose. Everything is cooked to order, the stocks are made here, and dessert is never an afterthought.

Five courses, the whole table plays. Tell us what you cannot eat; the kitchen writes the rest of the evening.

What the tables say
We came for a birthday and stayed until they stacked the chairs. The duck was the best I have had in years, and the staff treated our late table like the first of the night.
The menu is short and that is exactly the point, everything on it earns its place. The celeriac steak converted a table of committed carnivores.
Booked for six on a rainy Thursday. Warm room, patient service, and the onion soup alone was worth crossing town for. One star kept for the day they add more desserts.
Our regular table since the opening. The card changes with the market and there is always one dish we argue over sharing. Book ahead, the dining room fills fast.
